Manufacturer facts: Monroe
The Monroe brand was founded in the second decade of the twentieth century, when car tires were often damaged due to the ineffectiveness of the suspension system and the unfavorable condition of the road surface. In its beginnings, it produced inflatable tire inflator. A new product soon joined the range, which stood at the beginning of constant innovation and completely changed the company's profile: the first Monroe silencer.
The company's development has picked up speed with new inventions and improvements to damping elements. Most American carmakers use Monroe components, which have also triumphed on racetracks, including Indianapolis. The company's official international expansion began in 1964, when the first European Monroe shock absorber factory was established in Belgium.
Today, Monroe has nearly 100 offices worldwide, including 31 manufacturing plants on five continents. The high standard of all Monroe products corresponds to careful quality control at all stages of production, thanks to which durability and reliability are achieved, which have strengthened, among other things, the original equipment status of many Nissan, Volkswagen, BMW and Chrysler models. A wide selection of shock absorbers and accessories is also available for the independent spare parts market.
