Sachs is the world's leading supplier of clutch systems for the OE production of new vehicles. Sachs manufactures special clutches with a self-adjusting pressure plate (Sachs XTend), which extends the life of the clutch and is one of the few manufacturers of dual-mass flywheels in the world to become a leading supplier to OE production.
Sachs supplies all major automakers producing both passenger cars and light commercial vehicles or lorry trucks.
With more than 100 years of active business, Sachs has become one of the leading automotive suppliers. This also brings tens of possibly hundreds of patents and interesting design solutions both for Sachs (eg. self-adjusting pressure plate - XTend, Dynastart, Nivomat shock absorber, Shocktester), Lemförder (spherical axle pin, "molecular" pin head) , but also ZF (steering and power steering). According to some patents, many components are now being produced by other companies, some are still patent protected and unavailable for others.
